Dorothy Gene McKinnon Tipton, 84, passed away Monday, July 21, 2014. Dorothy was born Jan. 25, 1930, in Fort Worth to Curtis and Flo McKinnon and was the last of four siblings, Doug, Ernestine and Bob. She married Doyce Tipton in 1949 and recently celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary May 30. She and Doyce are lifelong residents of Tarrant County. If you knew our mom ... just know you were special to her. She loved her Lord and Savior, family and friends. We love you, Mom! Survivors: Her loving husband, Doyce Tipton; daughter, Deb McMurtre; son, Ron Tipton and wife, Stacy; grandsons, Ty and Todd Tipton and Bryan McMurtre; daughters-in-love, Toni McMurtre and Misty Tipton; and great-grandsons, Matt McGann, Meier, Miller and Mike McMurtre. Graveside service: 10:30 a.m. Thursday in Laurel Land Memorial Park of Fort Worth.
