Earnestine Smith

Earnestine Smith, 83, went to be with her Lord and Savior on August 1, 2024 surrounded by her loving family. She was born on August 2, 1940 to parents Loretta Hubbert and Julias Bradford in Maybank, Texas.

Earnestine volunteered at the Samaritan House of Tarrant County and at food shelters all across the county. Earnestine loved the Lord and was devoted to her church, singing with the choir every Sunday.

She loved her family, and enjoyed spending time with them. She had a smile that could light up any room, a smile her family will miss terribly.

Earnestine is preceded in death by her parents Loretta Hubbert and Julias Bradford; her husband Farris Clay Smith Sr., her son Tony Lee Smith, her sister Choice Green, and brother Horace Blackmon,

She is survived by her sons, Eric Eugene Smith, and Farris Clay Smith Jr; sister, Edna Marie and husband James Cummings, as well as grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and numerous cousins.

A visitation and reception will be held Wednesday, August 14, 2024 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. in The Laurel Room of Laurel Land Funeral Home.

A funeral service will be held Thursday, August 15, 2024 at 10:00 a.m. at the Chapel of Chimes located in the cemetery of Laurel Land Funeral Home.

A burial will take place on Thursday, August 15 at 2:30 p.m at DFW National Cemetery at 2000 Mountain Creek Parkway Dallas, Texas.
