Horace “Eddie” Musick was born to Horace and Vera Musick in January of 1939 in Childress, Texas. Eddie was a mechanic by trade but spent quite a bit of his time as a skilled shooter. In the 1960’s he held the title of Quick Draw Champion. Eddie and his brother Jim Musick were the first gunslingers, stage coach robbers and train robbers to perform at Six Flags over Texas. Eddie also enjoyed fishing, more specific, fishing for anything that bites. His family jokes he would cast his reel and walk away waiting for it to catch “river gators”, logs and debris. His response to not being able to catch it would be to shoot it. Eddie’s children remember their father as a man who loved to tinker around the house and yard. He will be greatly missed.
He was preceded in death by his parents and three siblings.
Those left to remember him include his wife, Carolyn; brother, Bruce Musick; son, Mike Musick and wife Janie; daughter, Cindi Musick; grandchildren, Nick Musick and wife Kristen, Martha Musick, Krystal Schaller and husband Scut, Brandon Lipe and wife Morgan, Amber Hatten, nine great-grandchildren and extended family and friends.
