

Edward Gean Brown, aged 75, of Fort Worth, Texas, passed away on March 7, 2025, at Harris Methodist Hospital, surrounded by his loved ones.
Edward Gean Brown was born on December 31, 1949, Edward was the son of William Harper and Essie Mae Bostic (Tisby). Known affectionately to many as Tootsie, he attended Dunbar High School and I. M. Terrell High School before enlisting in the United States Army, he became the father to Trice Brown. Tootsie served from 1969 to 1989. Throughout his military career, he was stationed in various locations, including Korea, Alaska, Germany, Fort Jackson, Fort Hood and Walter Reed Hospital. He retired at the rank of E7. In 1979, in Germany, serving his country, he met the love of his life, Clarese Fields, and to this union, he had two daughters, Amber and Afrika Brown. Following his military career, Edward worked for many years as a security guard and with Foxworth-Galbraith. He was a member of the American Legion #379, in Hurst, Texas, a member of the Reach Disability group in Fort Worth, Texas, and a dedicated member of Abundant Life Community Church. Edward will be fondly remembered for his deep love for people and family. A true business man, who opened several lounges where guest could enjoy music, dancing, socializing and networking. In his leisure time, Edward also enjoyed fishing, movies, dancing, the bright lights of the casino and spending quality time with his family. Remaining to cherish Edward Brown's memory; wife, Clarese Brown; daughters, Trice Brown, Amber Brown and Afrika Brown; grandchildren and great grandchildren; siblings, Joe Taylor, Blair Brown, Michael Lee Brown, Harrison Ray Bostic and Delphine Brown; he is preceded in death by his parents, Essie Bostic and William Harper, his brother Leroy Brown, Sr. his sisters, Bernice Webster and Deborah Kay Brown, and a host of other relatives and friends.
