Mrs. Ella D. Greer

Ella Greer, 91 passed away on Friday, September 26, 2025, surrounded by her goddaughter, Immanuel Staff and Good Shepard Hospice Care.

Ella Greer was born in Jefferson, Texas to Elnora and Will Childs, on February 21, 1934. While in Jefferson, she met and married Mr. Thomas Alvin Greer. They moved from Jefferson to Fort Worth together to raise her sons, Thomas, James and Roy and their daughter Betty. Ella worked as a housekeeper for many years before she retired.

Ella was a member of Good Hope Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor Donny Horton. Her joys were family cookouts and grilling, as well as traveling to Winstar and many other places. She enjoyed life and loved music.

Ella was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Alvin Greer, son, Roy Greer, parents and sister.

She leaves to cherish her memory sons, Thomas (Precilla), James (Betty), Overton Brooks; daughter, Betty Figures; daughter-in-law, Dorothy Johns-Greer; goddaughter, Carolyn Watson (Raymond); grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and a host of family and friends.
