

A Visitation will be held from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm on Thursday, January 18, 2024, at Shannon Rose Hill Funeral Chapel with a Graveside Service at 1:30 pm at Shannon Rose Hill Cemetery with Minister Claudie Lofton, officiating.
Ella Jean Holliday Harden was born in Navasota, Texas to Frank Holliday and Irene Cooper on October 30, 1953. She went to school at Anderson High School in Anderson, Texas. She graduated from Northwood University in 1997.
She worked as a Auto Assembly Worker then she began working as a Planning/Communications/ARL-CVO Liaison for General Motors for over 45 years. She was also involved in many organizations and had a passion for giving back to the community. She also helped lead General Motors (GM) Arlington Assembly fundraising efforts with the following outside organizations such as United Way, March of Dimes, American Heart Association, American Cancer Association, Mission of Arlington, Arlington Food Bank, Arlington Life Shelter, Toy for Kids, Safe Haven (Women’s Shelter), Roark Elementary STEM project. Also, she served and assisted the United Auto Workers (UAW) Local 276 and GM Employee Resource Groups such as UAW Community Service Committee, GM Foundation, GM Women, GM African Ancestry Network, GM Veterans Group, GM Latino Network, and Professional Management Network Group. She was actively engaged in supporting many areas of the business at Arlington Assembly including plant communications, event planning, vehicle support, and loyal UAW Local 276 members.
Ella Jean Holliday Harden is preceded in death by her parents Frank Holliday and Irene Cooper, brother Frank Holliday Jr, sisters Pauline Holliday Lowery, Bessie Mae Holliday, Mary Holliday Burns and Lois Marie Holliday.
Ella Jean Holliday Harden is survived by one daughter Shavon Harden, two sisters Mavis Lofton, Mary Rogers (Dale) and two brothers Charles Holliday (Mary), Goree Creeks (Donna). Along with a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
