

The second of five children to Theresa
Guillory and Calvin Guidry. He grew up in Houston, Texas
where he was the first black altar boy at Sacred Heart Cathedral
and graduated from San Jacinto High School. He enjoyed fishing
with his father and served 10 years in the United States Air Force.
He was a member of the Knights of Peter Claver Unit 89 at Our
Mother of Mercy Catholic Church - Fort Worth, Texas. He retired
from IBM after a thirty year career to enjoy a life of travel.
He was a loving and devoted father and husband. Elliot has three
beautiful children and four grandchildren. He was devoted to helping
others in his home, church, job, and community. Elliot has been a
mentor in the school program and was happiest when helping others,
"a go to person to get the job done."
On April 21, 2026, the Lord sent the angels of heaven to call Elliot
by name to begin his journey into everlasting life.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Theresa and Calvin Guidry;
his sister Demetrious Guidry-Moore.
Elliot leaves to cherish his memory his faithful, loving best friend and
wife, Marie Guidry; three daughters, Trena Tuck (Alex), Andrea Tosten
(Erik) and Alice Guidry; four grandchildren, Dashon Moore-Guidry
(Maddie), Raven Anderson, Gabriel Estrada and Joshua Tuck; one
sister, Rosaland Guidry-Anderson; two brothers, Kenneth Guidry Sr.
(Suzanne) and Calvin Guidry (Debra); his nieces and nephews as well
as a host of other family, friends and loved ones.
