She was born in Overton, Texas, on February 10, 1945. Eloise graduated from El Paso Technical High School and received an Associates degree from Texas State Technical Institute.
She was married to Freeman McKinzie on April 24, 1970, in Georgetown, Texas.
Eloise worked in food service for Baylor University, and was an entrepreneur as well, having co-founded her late husband's trucking company. She also had a passion for music.
She is preceded in death by her husband Freeman McKinzie, mother Lena Ford, father Hubert Johnson, and grandson Malcolm Rollen.
She is survived by her children Versika Bailey and husband David, Freida Rollen, Freeman McKinzie Jr and wife Tameika, and Krystal Davis and husband Myron; her grandchildren Kanesha Bailey, Satiyah McKinzie, Bethany Rollen, Reggie Bryan Bailey, Joshua Bailey, Benjamin McKinzie, Preston Davis, Matthew Davis, Braxton Davis and Kiya Peoples; and her siblings Lana Johnson, Ralphael Johnson, Sandra Carruthers, Ray D. Johnson, Charlotte Johnson, and Carla Johnson, her Aunt Marilyn Ruthie Wilson and Uncle James Wilson.
A visitation for Eloise will be held Friday, March 28, 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Laurel Land Funeral Home of Fort Worth, 7100 CROWLEY RD, FORT WORTH, TX 76134, followed by a funeral service from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM.
