Elsie Bridges Morton

Elsie Bridges Morton was born June 28, 1932 in Breckenridge, TX to John & Elsie Bridges and passed away in Watauga, TX on February 8, 2018. Elsie was survived by her loving children: James Morton Jr. & wife Mary, Linda Kjeldgaard & husband Larry, Steve Morton & wife Lisa and Sheri Kincaid & husband Tommy; grandchildren: Jamie, Justin, Amanda, Brandy, Trenton, Mitchell & Cody; numerous great-grandchildren and brother, John L. Bridges. Elsie was a faithful servant to Christ Jesus. She exemplified that servanthood as a teacher for 24 years at Glenview Elementary in Richland Hills and was a devout church member. Next to her faith and family was her love for all things burnt orange and white. She received her bachelor’s degree from the University of Texas in 1954 and then complete her master’s degree at North Texas. Elsie gave us much love & joy and now she is in the joyful presence of her Savior.

Visitation is 3-5 pm, Sunday, February 11, 2018 at the funeral home. The funeral service will be 11:00 am, Monday, February 12, 2018 at the First Baptist Church of Watauga, 6124 Plum St., Watauga, TX 76148. Committal service is at Squaw Creek Cemetery, Glenn Rose, TX.
