BEDFORD -- Ernest Carl Dorsey, age 96, passed Tuesday, August 9, 2016. Graveside service: 9 a.m. Friday at Shannon Rose Hill Memorial Park.

Ernest, born in 1920, served in Europe during World War II and in the Korean War. He worked for The Federal Aviation Agency as a Radar Technician. Ernest enjoyed square and round dancing, as well as camping. He was a member of Hurst Amateur Radio Club and Bedford Amateur Radio Club. He volunteered with Radio Amateur Civil Emergency Services and he was a member of St. Timothy Cumberland Presbyterian Church.
Ernest is preceded in death by his father, Leether Dorsey; mother, Ina Dorsey; wife, Betty Dorsey; sister, Myrtis Gray; and brother, Harold Dorsey.
Survivors: His daughter, Paula Hill; son-in-law, Dwight Hill; and several nieces.
