Ernest David Griffin

David Griffin passed away on Tuesday morning, April 12, 2022 after a lengthy battle with cancer, surrounded by his loved ones. David graduated from Paschal High School and attended TCU. David was the son of Mary Ann and Ernest Granville Griffin. He grew up with two brothers - and a very close family of aunts, uncles, and cousins. He married Judy Lynn Richardson and soon afterwards was blessed with the birth of their daughter, Lynn. David’s career was in sales and he became the regional sales manager of Cadbury Schweppes and later Swisher International. David was a kind soul who always had a smile and offered a helping hand to all around him. Family gatherings, gardening, crossword puzzles, playing cards, and traveling were his passions.

Judy passed away after 40+ years, leaving him heartbroken… True love found him again when Sandi Garrett came into his life. Sandi and her “Mr. Wonderful” married and now he had even more family to enjoy with the addition of Sandi’s mom and dad, son - Kevin Garrett and daughter-in-law Charlie, and three more grandchildren.

At his death, Dave now had a daughter, a son, six grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren.

LIFE WAS GOOD WITH DAVE. He was truly blessed.

Services will be held Monday, April 18 at Laurel Land. Visitation will be at 1 and service at 2.

David was preceded by his parents, brother William Bunnie Griffin, and his first wife Judy.

David is survived by his wife Sandi, daughter Lynn and son-in-law Eddy, Son Kevin and daughter in law Charlie, brother Mike and sister-in-law Elizabeth.

Six grandchildren, Brandon David Spurgin, Jae Lauren Blanton and husband Arthur, Caitlyn Greene and husband Denver, Geordian Abel and husband Austin, Brooks Garrett, and Kobe Garrett.

Seven great grandchildren, Asher Luzunaris Blanton, Adalynn Luzunaris Blanton, Everly Blanton, Madeline Blanton, Rowan Greene, Steely Greene, and Tanner Greene.
