Etta Mae Warriner
April 23, 1939 – February 24, 2018
Ms. Etta Mae Warriner passed away on February 24, 2018. She was 78 years of age. The family invites friends to join them in a memorial gathering to be held on Saturday March 17th, 2018 from 2pm to 4pm at Shannon Rufe Snow Funeral Chapel.
Etta was born on April 23, 1939 at home in Snyder, Oklahoma. Her parents were Ruel and Iva Ferguson. She was raised in Snyder, Oklahoma with her one brother, R.A., and three sisters, Dorothy, Margie, and Loretta.
She graduated from Snyder High School in 1957. After high school she moved to Fort Worth, Texas. She married and had four daughters, Peri, Lori, Nola and Paula. She was also blessed with 10 grandchildren, Candice, Misty, Johnny, Sasha, Charlie, Lisa, Montana, Savannah, Darren and Michael.
Etta's primary occupation was making Custom Window Treatments. She owned her own business, Etta's Decorating Specialties, for many years.
She enjoyed her leisure time by taking part in various hobbies. Her favorite pursuits were painting, drawing, and arts and crafts.
Etta was accepting of retirement when it finally came in 2001. She had worked very hard to raise her four children. She moved to Virginia to help raise her grandchildren and then returned to Fort Worth in 2010.
Etta passed away on February 24, 2018 at Lake Lodge Nursing Home in Fort Worth, Texas. She passed away after a long battle with Alzheimer's Disease.
She is preceeded in death by her parents, Ruel and Iva Ferguson; sisters, Margie Jackson and Dorothy Luttrell; brothers-in-law, Jack Jackson and Wayne Luttrell; sister-in-law, Shirley Ferguson and nephews Terry Hunt and Dale Luttrell.
She is survived by her children, Peri Record, Lori Stanton, Nola Pressley and Paula Bunch; siblings, Ruel Ferguson and Loretta Hunt; grandchildren, Candice Emmons, Misty Record, Johnny Record, Sasha Record, Charlie Stanton, Lisa Stanton, Montana Hotchkiss, Savannah Pressley, Darren Warriner and Michael Warriner; great-grandchildren, Keira Emmons, Kellan Emmons, Audrey Record, Kelsey Record, Jayde Record, Bobbie Record, Daisey Record, Alexis Record; nieces and nephews, Mark Jackson, Brad Jackson, Janice Jackson, Larry Ferguson, David Ferguson, Carla Ferguson, Daryl Ferguson, Bobby Hunt, Bill Hunt, Cheryl Hubble, Chris Hunt, Tiffany Smith and extended family and friends.
Etta Mae Ferguson was a selfless and loving person who loved her family above all else. She will be missed greatly and remembered by all who loved her as one of the greatest people to ever walk the face of the Earth.
