

Evelyn was born on December 27, 1940 to Adrian Wiley and Geraldine Jewel (Jones) Brashears in Cherry Valley, Cross Co., Arkansas.
Evelyn served her church, The Hills, faithfully for over 40 years as a Sunday School teacher, Resource Room director, Young Childrens' World teacher & director and office secretary. She retired from the church in 2002 but continued to volunteer in the office and the Sermons To Go ministry throughout the remainder of her life.
She was a Christian from when she was young and never lost her faith, even during times when God tested her. Through the many trials and tests in her life her faith never wavered, especially at the end. She was an amazing example to her family for how to live a selfless, loving life.
She was preceded in death by her parents and younger brother, Larry Randall Brashears. She is survived by her husband of nearly 60 years, Blair "Stoney" Stoner; daughter Pamela McConnell and her husband Jeff; son David Stoner; 3 granddaughters she adored, Tiffany Lipperdt, Brittany McConnell and Kylie Stoner; 6 great-grandchildren, Michael Kuntz, III, Dylan Kuntz, Colt McConnell, Clara McConnell, Miranda Lipperdt and Michael Lipperdt, Jr. She loved dearly her bonus daughter, Leslie Kalina, along with her bonus grandson, Gavin Kalina. Evelyn also leaves behind brother Charles Brashears and wife Barbara, brother Robert Brashears and wife Patsy, sister Linda Brown and husband Robert, along with many nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews.
