

MRS. EVELYN JOYCE TAULTON
EVELYN JOYCE NORWOOD TAULTON was born on November 28, 1946, Thanksgiving Day to Beulah and L. C. Norwood in Wortham, Texas. However, very early in life she was reared by J. W. Chambers. Waiting for her are her parents, Buelah, Nanny, and J. W. Chambers, Big Pops along with her two brothers, Anthony Wayne Chambers and Ed Norwood.
The family later moved to Fort Worth, Texas where she attended East Van Zandt Elementary School, James E. Guinn Middle School, where she was in the top 10 of her class. Later she attended I. M. Terell High School, where she was a proud graduate of the class of 1965. After graduation, she attended North Texas State University. She later started her career with the Fort Worth Independent School District, where she remained until retiring in 2001.
EVELYN excepted Christ at an early age and served God and her church faithfully until her health begin to fail her. She was a youth sponsor, announcing clerk, secretary of Jr. Women Mission and served wherever needed. She was a member of Pilgrim Valley Missionary Baptist Church for over 50 years.
EVELYN leaves to cherish her memory her beloved son, Andrew Demond Norwood, granddaughter, Demontreya Norwood; sister, her caregiver, Mildred Fisher; nieces. RaeShawn Fisher, Endyia Dawn Norwood, Jordan Pouncil, Nikki Taylor, Harmoni Biggins; nephews, Ronnie Johnson, III, Anthony Chambers, II, Dylan Chambers; special cousins, Alfreita Jordan, Beverly Curry other cousins, church family and a host of friends and loved ones.
