Floyd Franklin

Floyd was born on January 30, 1959, to John Henry Griner Sr., and Robbie Marie Norris of San Angelo Texas. He grew up and was nurtured in San Angelo, Texas where he was baptized at an early age at the Saint Paul Baptist Church where Rev. Gates was Pastor.

Upon graduating from San Angelo Central high school in 1977. He attended Wichita Falls University and later transferred to the University of North Texas, where he obtained a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) there he met and later married Dr. Tanga Franklin on November 19,1983. To this union two daughters were born, Saraileynn and Sasha.

He was proceeded in death by his parents, four sisters and two brothers, one of them being his identical, twin, Lloyd.

Those that remain to meet him in heaven are his lovely, devoted wife of 42 years, Dr. Tanga Johnson Franklin and two precious daughters; Saraileynn Franklin and Sasha Dawkins; Sisters: Joann Green, Daisy, Wrenette Franklin and Sandra Laverne Love all of San Angelo Texas., Joyce Evans (Charlie) of Red Rock, Texas and brother John Griner Jr. (England) of Austin, Texas., a supportive Mother-in Law, Sarah June Johnson and a host of extended relatives, church family, and friends.
