Frances was born on February 2, 1936 to Ed Hartwell Warfield and Ruth Warfield.
She lived on a farm with three brothers Alex, Bud, and Coy; and her sister Nannie Ruth Mahanay.
After high school, Frances worked for Montgomery Wards as a Biller. In September 1954, she married the love of her life, Elmo Lionel Burks. She loved doing crafts of any kind including plastic canvas. She then retired from the Army Corps of Engineers in 1994.
Frances is survived by her son David Burks (Joyce Burks), and her daughter Debbie Leidig and a grandson Joshua Leidig.
