In recent months and surrounded by family and friends, Mrs. Justice
celebrated achieving centenarian status at a party in the Keller Oaks Community Room
Memorials: Mrs. Justice's family invites family and friends to make a donation to New
Hope Fellowship Church, 6410 S. Freeway, Fort Worth, TX 76134, in Marie's memory.
A long-time resident of Burleson, Marie was born June 17, 1919, in Mansfield, Texas.
She was one of four children born to Virgie and Elbert Leonard. She married Marvin
Lewis Justice. Mr. & Mrs. Justice had two children,
Robert "Bob" L. Justice and Jean Justice Cleveland.
Their lives were blessed by four grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.
Mrs. Justice graduated from Mansfield High School and Brantley-Draughon Business
College. During her career, she managed a Top Value Redemption Center and also
worked at Pangburn's Candy Company. Marie worked at the Downtown Fort Worth Public Library, where she eventually retired from. Mrs. Justice was a valued and dependable part of her community. She was a very active member of her Burleson Neighborhood Association, the Burleson Garden Club and was an Eastern Star. Her husband Marvin was a Beekeeper and together they were members of the Trinity Valley Beekeepers Association.
Mrs. Justice will be missed for many reasons. In the pages of her Bible were notes from
neighbors who considered her kind and thoughtful throughout her long life. Others cited
her loving nature with all people. At her church, she was a dependable greeter for
many years, always welcoming members and newcomers to her church home with a
smile and kind word. Her children remember her as an excellent mother, a good cook
and a wonderful homemaker committed to creating a loving and safe home for her
family as a top priority. She demonstrated Christian character in every area of her life.
The children of Mrs. Justice extend sincere appreciation to the staff of Keller Oaks
Health Center for the loving care they provided to their mother in recent years
Mrs. Justice was preceded in death by her husband Marvin in 1997 and her daughter-in-law, Patricia Mays Justice.
