Gail Draper

Carolyn Gail Draper died unexpectedly on March 16, 2026. Gail was born June 23, 1945 in Yanush, Oklahoma, the only child of Leonard & Ruth Potts. She is preceded in death by her parents, her beloved husband Calvin, and grandson Jacob Draper.

After graduating high school, Gail married Cal on August 17, 1963 and had two children, Lyle and Stacey, before relocating to Fort Worth in 1966 where they had two more children, Lance and Stephanie. A full-time mother, Gail was active in her children’s lives attending baseball & softball games, football games, volunteering at school functions, and she helped Cal when he started his own business, Cal’s Top Shop, in 1976. She also helped raise grandchildren and great children, saying often she “loves the little babies.”

Gail was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star and a long-time member of Olive Place Baptist Church.

Gail is survived by her four children Lyle, Stacey, Lance (wife Tiffany), and Stephanie (husband Jeremy), grandsons Dal, Zakary (fiancee' Shelby), Malachi, and Austyn (wife Bri), granddaughters Kurstin (husband Alex), Emerie (longtime bf Nathan), and Baylee (fiancé Bryan), and eleven great grandchildren: Braylen, Stevie, Braxton, Shylin, Zayden, Everly, Jakoby, Ava, Brooks, Baker, and Brynn.
