Dear Judy- I was saddened to come across the news of George's passing today.  I am sorry for your loss.  George was a dear person and a very funny man.  I am privileged to have known him.

George was first in 1979 my boss.  But like anyone who spent more than 3 minutes with him, we became good friends immediately.  I learned from George.  A lot.  He's one of those extremely rare people that you'd take around and introduce to everybody you knew if you could.  He was ALWAYS ready to and did help me anytime I needed help.  Goodness, true goodness, the top shelf personality and a sense of humor you don't forget.  I'm gonna miss you for a while but because you are my brother in Christ...I'll see you later man.,

George was my uncle by marriage, and he had a way of making me feel very welcomed as part of the family. Once when he picked up my husband and me at the airport in Dallas, he asked me as I got in the car, "Are you a screamer?"  It took me a moment to realize he was making fun of his own driving.  As he drove down the busy highway, we pointed out a blimp flying ahead. He squinted and said, "You sighted people make me sick."  
Smiles and laughter were his gift to all who knew him.

I was sorry to hear of George's passing.  We go back a long time-grade school through high school.  One picture of George that comes to mind is the 8th grade Northwest Mounties (Maxie Speer) football team; George was "No. 28".
He had a great sense of humor.  I bet he is making them laugh in heaven with his dry-wit humor.
So glad we had our 50th class reunion so I could work in the planning with George.

The love you two shared was special and I am honored to have been a small part of your life with George. He was very special and I know he will be missed by all who knew and loved him. George was the ultimate AHS colt he was always involved & no one had a better sense of humor than George. He was a leader in disguise & if you made a movie about the 50's you would have to have a character playing George. My thoughts & prayers go out to his family & love ones. Heaven just got one of the really good guys.

First, I would like to offer my condolances to George's family.  I first met George when we were in the sixth grade at Maxie Speer Elementary in Arlington, Texas.  We had a lot of fun growing up; we were in Cub Scouts together, we got in trouble together.  I remember one time we camped out in my back yard in a pup tent.  the next morning my mother fixed French toast and we ate the who loaf of bread.  We used to play football in his backyard/pasture and the biggest problem was avoiding landing in the horse manure (that was an automatic penalty).  We recently had our 50th high school reunion(Arlington High) and George was deeply involved in the planning and spent many hours putting together a slideshow for the occasion.  To sum it up ;George was a unique individual and will be missed by everyone that knew him
       So long George , you were one of a kind!!!
