Who would have expected a baby boy named George H. Glasker Jr born on August 20, 1938
to Ora White and George H. Glasker Sr. He was raised in Reisel, Texas by his grandmother Mae. He attended public schools in Waco, Texas. He was determined at a very young age to have a better life for himself. In the 5th grade, he secured his first job at a general store as a security guard. You may be thinking, what did he secure ?? COOKIES!! He was paid by the owners to make sure the other kids wouldn’t steal them. A job he negotiated that would start to propel his mindset to become his own boss. His love for cars, specifically race cars, he started a roadside assistance business. His
motto was “ Can't get too far, but you can be too close”. Desiring to expand his business, He opened Glasker Automotive gas station in Dallas , Texas with a U-haul rental service. Brother G, was a great respected businessman throughout the community. However, what he loved the most was the love of his life, Mary Kay Boyd (Mama G) who he met and married In 1956. They were married for over 50 years. Brother G became a minister of the Gospel of Christ serving churches from Frisco, Athen, Dallas, Texas. Finally settling at Mitchell Boulevard Church of Christ (OVERLOOKING DOWNTOWN FORT WORTH) were he faithful served over 40 years. One of his favorite scripture was Deuteronomy 32:29 “ O that they were wise, that they understood this, that they would consider their latter end“ . One of his personal sayings “ You can fill up a bucket of milk and then kick over the whole bucket” meaning you can do good and then mess it all up. Brother G was witty and loved serving the Lord and Mitchell Blvd Church of Christ. To ensure Mitchell Blvd Church of Christ would continue in the faith, he ordained and licensed Brother Tyrone Malone Sr. in 2021 to become his successor in death. He was preceded in death by wife Mary. He was survived by several generations. George H.
