George Williams Johnson Jr.

George Williams Johnson Jr. was born October 21, 1942, to the parents of Charles and Hattie Simmons in Linden, Texas.

He attended and received his formal education form I. M. Terrell High School, Graduating in 1960.

George, normally called Gabby, was an outgoing humorous soul to be around. He had a passion for fashion, but you would not know unless you paid attention. He loved his hats and clothes and always had his shades on.

He loved watching the Dallas Cowboys play. He also lived playing dominoes and shooting pool with family and friends. George was always ready to have a great time.

George worked for Roofing and Constriction Companies, which made him unstoppable until his health started to decline.

On May 25, 2026, the Lord saw fit to call Geroge home where he would reunite with his parents, who will receive him in Glory.

George leaves to cherish his memories five children; Adrian Landes (Jon), Richie Armstrong (Candace), Misty Lampkin (YD), Alonzo Thompson (Jashima), Leslie Jackson and sixteen grandchildren and twenty-one great grandchildren, and two special people, Randy Roquemore, and Demetrice Starghill his (caregivers) and a host of relatives and friends.
