He was the son of George and Virginia Lutch. George spent his early years living with his parents and grandmother, forming strong family bonds that stayed with him throughout his life. At the age of 17, he left home to serve his country in the United States Air Force, an experience that helped shape his character and sense of duty.
After completing his military service, George went on to serve his community as a firefighter, a career he dedicated himself to until his retirement. One of his proudest moments was providing fire support at the home of President John F. Kennedy in Hyannis Port, Massachusetts, an experience he remembered with honor.
George was known for his determination and strong work ethic. He once took on the challenge of purchasing a house that required significant repairs, a reflection of his resilience and commitment. In his free time, he enjoyed staying busy and working with his hands, especially fixing cars.
He is preceded in death by his wife Delanor Lutch. He is survived by his children George C. Lutch (wife Marsha K. Lutch), David M. Lutch (wife Tara Lutch), and daughter Susan V. Brown (husband Adam Brown); grandchildren Shawn, Ben, William, Justin, and Lauren; 3 great-grandchildren and one on the way.
