Gerald Leslie Sampaga

Gerald was born in Salinas, California to Juan and Opal Sampaga on March 5, 1941.

Gerald graduated from Gonzales High School. After high school Gerald enlisted into the United States Air Force where he served for 20 years. Gerald later dedicated his services to the United States Postal service until his retirement.

Gerald was married to Valerie G. Montier Sampaga, where he loved and cared for her until her passing in 2022.

He loved football, basketball, baseball, watching old movies and occasionally eating Chinese food. He will be greatly be missed by all.

Gerald is preceded in death by his wife Valerie Montier Sampaga; parents, Juan and Opal Sampaga; siblings, John Sampaga, ( Margaret), David Sampaga, ( Connie), William Eugene Sampaga; and brother in law, Henry Resquir.

He is survived by his children, Paul Sampaga ( Sonya), Vince Sampaga ( Rick) , and Tracy Wallace; grandchildren, Mallorie Viernes ( Joe), Meagan Payne ( Chase), and Shaylor Wallace ( Kensi); sisters, Petrunila Joan Resquir, and Diane Renee Gamboa Sampaga (Tino); sister in law, Esther Sampaga; and numerous great grandchildren, family, cousins and great neighbors.
