Ginger Marcia (Morse-Cox) Ellis died Saturday, August 22 at Harris Methodist Hospital from respiratory failure, surrounded by her family. She was 69 and had resided in Alvarado, Texas for the past thirty-nine years.
Born in Pampa, Texas, Ginger is survived in death by her husband Michael Ellis, her two children Mark Cox and Tamera Standerfer, three sisters, two brothers, seven grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, and her “furry” family…Rosco and Palomo.
Ginger lived a full life, one of love and laughter. She was co-owner in two businesses; C & C Press Maintenance and Cost Printing, she worked for several years in retail and eventually retired from Saks 5th Avenue. Ginger also received her Associate of Arts degree from Tarrant County College, produced beautiful ceramics, and coached youth soccer where she left an everlasting impression on many. Ginger did all of this while completely devoted to loving and taking care of her family…her first and most important priority. Her extended family reached far beyond her home in Alvarado and she will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
