

He is preceded in death by his parents Lone and Eunice Nicholas. He is preceded by his loving wife and best friend of 52 years, Pat Nicholas. He is survived by his son, Glenn Nicholas Jr. and wife Tiffany, and his daughters, Angela Porter and husband Bill and Kathy Penton and husband Tim. He also leaves seven grandchildren, Melanie and Dan Porter, Mitchell, Garrett, and Sydney Penton; and Aaron and Trevor Nicholas.
Glenn began his career in the military where he met his wife Pat. With Pat by his side, he spent many years volunteering in the Boy Scouts of America and working on other endeavors. Both Glenn and Pat were deeply involved in church and the activities of church with their children. They spent many fun summers traveling with kids in tow. After retirement Glenn teamed up with Pat and they began barbeque cooking competitively. Their cooking led them to organize the Lone Star Barbeque Society in 1996, where Glenn devoted much of his time.
Glenn died peacefully in his sleep after a long battle with Alzheimer's.
Visitation will be Monday, December 5, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and services will be held Tuesday, December 6, at 10:00 a.m Both will be at Shannon Rose Hill, 7301 E. Lancaster, Ft. Worth, Texas.
