Terrell High School. She attended Southwestern Christian College in Terrell Texas, and earned an Associate Arts Degree. Gloria was a lifelong member of Allen Avenue Church of Christ which later became Eastland Church of Christ.
Gloria loved God and His son, Jesus Christ, and was active in the church all of her life. She enjoyed learning about Christ by attending Bible Classes, Worship Services, Homecoming Celebrations, First Sunday Singing, and Church related gatherings. Gloria LOVED spending time with her family at birthday parties, special holidays, our annual High Family Reunion, or just going to the mall, bookstores, or restaurants. Gloria deeply loved her husband, children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, her parents, siblings, and extended family members. She also had a close group of life-long friends who were dear to her. She often talked fondly about Mrs. Nora Pyles, Mrs. Marie Bolton, Mrs. Annie Pearl Williams, Mrs. Georgia Johnson, Mrs. Norma Norris, Mrs. Helen Curtis, and many, many others.
