Born on April 3, 1958 in Odessa TX to two west Texas natives, Alfred Garza and Andrea Rodriguez who raised her to persevere through life's many struggles and to have compassion for those who could not.
She is lovingly survived by her husband of 47 years, Lupe Garza Jr; daughter Gloria Priscilla Garza and son Guadalupe Alfredo Garza; daughter-in-law Rocio Garza and three grandchildren, Alfonso Flores III, Adam Jacob Flores, and Marisol Elise Garza; 5 brothers - Gilbert Garza, Lee Garza , Wilfred Garza, Jimmy Garza and Wally Garza: 4 sisters – Pauline Rodriguez , Jovita Garza, Elizabeth Garza, and Andrea Garza.
Gloria dedicated the last years of her life to being a great Medicare Relationship Manager at Health IQ. She was known by all who met her for her spirit, her heartfelt laughter, bright and kind smile, and her kindness which she openly shared with so many others in need of help.
Gloria was cherished and deeply loved by her family. A better listener for when you needed someone to talk to or confide in would be hard pressed to find. A painful talk left you with a warm heart as she always knew the right thing to say. Strength and purpose was in her every movement, to never quit and to believe in ourselves because she believed in us.
She enjoyed spending quality time with her loved ones listening to music, dancing, and cooking. A woman who was excited for any holiday that involved cooking a meal for those she loved would produce a spread that would make chef's jealous of the praise.
One who embodied the Christmas spirit and genuinely loved Christmas time. This was her favorite time of the year.
It is hard to say farewell to a beautiful, special and most loved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt.
Rosary will be held at 7pm on Wednesday, July 7, 2021 at Laurel Land Chapel.
