Grace was born on December 14, 1929 to Elisa and Dewey Langston in Slate Springs, Mississippi. Grace grew up in Mississippi, and later moved to Texas. She lived in Fort Worth, Hurst, and Benbrook. For the last 29 years, she lived at the St. Francis Village in Crowley. Grace worked as a cashier in the grocery business. After moving to Hurst, she worked as a cafeteria baker with the Hurst, Euless Bedford School District and as Cafeteria Manager. She worked at the DFW Airport as a Security Officer with Braniff Airlines. Grace moved to the St. Francis Village, and worked as a volunteer at the village resale store for 20+ years.
Grace's hobbies were traveling, camping, and sewing. Grace and George traveled throughout the State of Texas, Colorado, and the South Texas coast. She was a member of the Starcraft Camping Club and Comet Camping Club. She had many friends and enjoyed time in her 5th-wheel trailer. Her favorite things were spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren, and camping friends.
She was preceded in death by her mother and father; daughter, Vicki Lang; sisters, Ann, Mattie, and Lois; and her husband, George Strack.
Grace is survived by a son, John Pringle and his wife, Pauline of Fort Worth; step-children, Mary Strack, Dorothy Strack, and Susan Bree, of DFW Texas; and Jerry Strack of South Carolina. Grace had 6 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, 7 great great children, and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
Grace was a friend to everyone, a strong Christian, and a wonderful loving mother and grandmother.
