August 21, 1953 – March 28, 2019
Grady White entered into the presence of His precious Lord and Savior, Thursday, March 28, 2019. Victorious over the battle with cancer that he so bravely fought for the past 6 years.
Grady was born in Cheyenne, Wyoming on August 21, 1953. He was the son of Lee and Joyce White. He was raised in Burleson, Texas and graduated from Burleson High School in 1971. He received his Bachelor’s Degree from Oklahoma Baptist University in Shawnee, Oklahoma in 1975. Grady’s love for drafting, designing and a love for airplanes lead him to work at General Dynamics/Lockheed Martin for 38 years. The past 10 years at Lockheed he helped lead standup of F-35 co-production across the globe with a focus on the wing program in Italy. This provided many trips of adventure for he and his family. He was the ultimate tour planner and guide.
Grady was a loving son, brother, and the rock of his family. He was a godly husband and father and a precious Pops to the grands. He was the most patient, kind and gentle person to all. When Grady spoke, all listened. His quiet humor had perfect timing. He made everyone who was apart of his life feel special, important and loved.
Grady married the love of his life, Charlotte Smith White, on March 21, 1981. They just recently celebrated their 38th Anniversary. Grady’s wife, children and grandchildren were Grady’s greatest joy and commitment. They always had top priority in his time and energy. He will be greatly missed and forever cherished by them.
Grady’s commitment to serve His Lord and Savior was evident and first place in all he did. He loved singing in the choir and working in the children and youth programs at Birchman Baptist Church. He and Charlotte also loved investing in the lives of young marrieds, desiring to help them build strong godly marriages and families.
Grady was preceded in death by his father, Lee White.
Survivors: loving wife of 38 years, Charlotte White; daughter, Stephanie DeCoster and husband, Roger; son, Andrew White and wife, Taylor; grandchildren, Emma Grace, Evelyn Joy, Easton Luke, and Elizabeth Ann DeCoster; mother, Joyce White; sister, Donna Latta; and 3 precious nieces and precious supportive in-laws.
Memorials: The family has requested that in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to: The Young Marrieds Ministry at Birchman Baptist Church.
The family wishes to extend its deepest gratitude to the best cancer team and care at MDAnderson, Houston, TX.

I remember both of you from my many years at Birchman, our singing in choir, working in the nursery/preschool at times, etc. We "Charlottes" had to stick together! My prayers are with you and your precious family as we look forward to the sound of the Trump, when we shall rise up and be united again in Jesus Christ!

After looking at Grady's wonderful life through these family pictures, I am even more convinced that he was a truly special man who left so many footprints and memories in each of our lives. What a life he lived.
I only had the pleasure of working with Grady for a years at Lockheed, but I felt like I had known him my whole life.
Such a kind heart and gentle spirit and a way of sharing wisdom and prayer like no one I have ever known before. I will never forget his help with mapping out my husband and I's trip to Italy, right down to the train numbers and times we should take from city to city. It was one of the best, uncomplicated, relaxing vacations we have ever taken.
His listening ear and prayers lifted me up when sickness hit my own family and his own journey with his ongoing illness truly broke my heart, yet inspired me at the same time.
What an Amazing, Faithful man of God who never complained and always had a smile and hug to offer no matter how sick he was feeling. He is truly missed here at Lockheed and will NEVER be forgotten. I thank God for placing Grady in my path - for he was truly a treasure here on earth.
My love and prayers go out to Charlotte and his family. His legacy lives on through all of you. May God Bless and keep you and grant you the peace and comfort that only He can give.

Grady was always the voice of reason in my dealings with his department at work. I got to know Grady “young” in both our careers and always enjoyed a chat with him whenever possible, no matter where it was. I had always remembered that we each had daughters “Stephanie” as well.
May God comfort his soul and may his family always be in his graces. Grady was one of the best here on Earth.

Grady was a great friend, person and co-worker who was always there when I needed his help or advise. And always a pleasure to just be around. There is no other and will be no other quite like Grady White. I will miss him. Rest in Peace Brother.
I want to extend our sincere condolences to Charlotte, his children and grandchildren and pray that God will give comfort in this time of loss and great sorrow. We are here if we can help in any way.
