It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Grant Butler, who went to be with Jesus on February 28, 2025 at the age of 29. He was a beloved son, brother, uncle, nephew, cousin, and friend and his presence will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
Born on February 12, 1996 in Ft Worth, Texas, Grant was the child of Steve and Rhoda Butler. Grant gave his life to the Lord when he was 9 years old. As a child, Grant loved pranking others, especially his parents and siblings. Grant loved playing the guitar, skateboarding, listening to music and spending time with his family. Even through his own struggles in life, Grant had a servant’s heart and was always wanting to help others who were hurting. He loved the Lord and shared his faith with others often. We know that his prayer would be for others he knew to give their life to Jesus, because Heaven is real.
Grant is survived by his parents, Steve and Rhoda Butler, sister Kendra Williford and husband Chris, sister Kellie Kincaid and husband Cameron, and sister Katie Martinez and husband Shaun. He is also survived by 5 nephews, 2 nieces, 1 great niece, 1 grandmother, and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
Grant was preceded in death by his brother Gregory Butler.
The family invites relatives and friends to a celebration of Grant’s life on Thursday, March 6, 2025 at 1pm, to be held at Laurel Land Memorial Park in Ft Worth.
The family deeply appreciates the outpouring of love, prayers, and support during this difficult time. We are rejoicing that Grant has been made whole and freed from the struggles of this world. He is now safe in the arms of Jesus. Grant was greatly loved and will be missed until we meet again in Heaven.
