Granville “Buster” Keeton was born on December 21, 1933, in Bristow, Oklahoma, where he spent his early years developing the strong work ethic and steady character that would define his life. Known to family and friends simply as “Buster,” he carried that nickname with warmth and pride throughout his 92 years.
In his early adulthood, Buster moved to Texas in 1957 after being married in 1954 to Louella Keeton, beginning a partnership rooted in devotion, resilience, and shared dreams.
Buster was a hardworking and dependable man who dedicated much of his life to serving his community. Over the years, he worked as a bus driver and later as a security officer. He also worked with Fort Worth Independent School District. Buster was not one to shy away from opportunity; Buster eventually opened his own business, where he conducted vehicle emission inspections and worked on vehicle exhaust systems. His entrepreneurial spirit and determination allowed him to build not only a successful business but also a lasting foundation for his family’s future.
Through careful planning and hard work, Buster created a meaningful retirement for himself by investing in and managing rental properties. His foresight and commitment ensured stability and opportunity for generations to come.
Outside of work, Buster found joy in the simple and fulfilling pleasures of life. He loved hunting and traveling, always appreciating the outdoors and the adventure of new places. Over the years, he also spent countless hours tending to chickens, cattle, and goats—finding peace and purpose in caring for the land and his animals.
Above all, Buster was a family man. He was the proud father of a son, the cherished grandfather of two grandsons, and the delighted great-grandfather of two great-grandsons and one great-granddaughter. His legacy lives on not only in the business ventures he built and the properties he established, but most importantly in the family he loved so deeply.
Granville “Buster” Keeton will be remembered for his strength, independence, unwavering work ethic, and the deep love he had for his family and the life he built from the ground up.
