Mr. Gregory Neil Echols was born on August 7, 1956 to the parentage of Hercules Leon Echols and Beatrice Ruby Henry-Echols. Gregory received his formal education in the Fort Worth Independent School, graduating from Paul Laurence Dunbar High School in 1974. During his Flying Wildcat days, he was a saxophone player with the mighty marching band. After graduating high school he worked with his father at Mrs. Baird's Bakery for several years, then worked at General Motors where he retired. He was a member of the Methodist community and a member of McMillan United Church in Ft. Worth until he was called home. Gregory was an avid fan of the Washington Redskins football team. He loved watching sports, Drag Racing, Maury Povich, Andy Griffith, and Gomer Pyle. Gregory was proceeded in death by his father and mother. On Wednesday, March 25, 2020 God sent his angels to escort Gregory to his eternal home. He leaves to cherish his wife Dora Jones-Echols, his one beloved son, Tramaine O'Neil Echols, four sisters, Ruth Hennington, Jean Johnson, Cathy Pruitt, and Yoki Echols; five grandchildren, Tiarra, Bre'Tavia, Thalia, Lillian, and Tramaine Echols Jr.; special friends Nedra Moore-Jones, Pat Rogers, and a host of other relatives and friends......
