

Gregory Joseph Myers, aged 70, passed away on August 31, 2024, in Fort Worth, Texas. Born on July 3, 1954, in Orange, California, Gregory was a proud and patriotic individual, known for his dedication as a hard worker, a loving family man, and a proud Marine.
After graduating from San Diego State University, Gregory served with distinction in the United States Marine Corps, embodying the Corps' values of honor, courage, and commitment. Following his military service, he joined the San Diego Police Department, where he served the community first as a police officer and later as a detective, bringing dedication and integrity to every assignment.
Gregory was a devout churchgoer and cherished his role as a grandfather, always finding joy in spending time with his grandchildren. His family was the centerpiece of his life. He is survived by his wife, Dorothy Myers; his son, Nathan Myers, and daughter-in-law, Alexandra Myers, along with their children, Jacob and Savannah; and his daughter, Catherine Johnson, son-in-law, Lawson Johnson, and their children, Matthew, Audrey, Noah, and Paisley. Gregory was preceded in death by his parents, LaVerne and Adella Myers.
A service to honor Gregory's life will be held on September 10, 2024, from 2 PM to 4 PM at Laurel Land Funeral Home in Fort Worth, TX. Gregory will be buried on September 11, 2024 at 9:15am at Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery.
Gregory Myers will be remembered as a man who lived his life with love and bravery, deeply committed to both his country and his family. His legacy of service and love will endure in the hearts of those who knew him.
