Mrs. Dyer was my Junior year English teacher as well as my mother’s teaching faculty member at Eastern Hills. She was a wonderful and challenging teacher. My writing and reading understanding was so very enriched by her teaching standard and her caring demeanor. I count Mrs. Dyer as a large influence in my learning process and as an influence in my decision to be an educator. Rest in peace.

Mrs. Dyer was a wonderful teacher, and earned the respect of all the students in my class (and there were some doozies). Thank you, Mrs. Dyer, for caring so much and also making us laugh  when we’d least expect it. Another angel has arrived in heaven for sure! Say hi to Rosalynn!

Wonderful example of a great teacher and loyal friend. It was an honor to be a fellow faculty member. She touched many lives and gave us all so much joy.

Mrs. Dyer was one of my favorite teachers of all time. She was stern but caring. She was very supportive of me during a tough personal time. I’ve always loved her for that. Rest well, Mrs. Dyer.

Mrs Dyer was our favorite teacher along with so many others. She was also a neighbor and a good friend of my mother. Kerry and  I walked to Meadowbrook Elementary school together. 
Nancy and I would visit with Mrs. Dyer when we saw her doing volunteer work at Harris Hospital.
After that, we continued to call her and visit with her through the years. So many memories and so many lives touched and forever changed.

Heaven gained an angel. Mrs. Dyer was my English teacher and my parents Sunday school teacher at Meadowbrook Methodist. Loved her spirit. Prayers to the extended Dyer family.

Mrs Dyer was an amazing teacher that my parents admired a lot. She kept me in line when I was trying be a goof off.  Her son, Andy, was a good friend when we’re young and enjoyed playing baseball with him.

Mrs. Dyer was my favorite teacher.   She was supportive and kind.   I'll remember her with love.

I was privileged have Mrs. Dyer as my senior English teacher in 1965. She was a wonderful teacher and a great lady. She was the sponsor of our Future Teacher's of America group and took us on a bus trip to Houston to the convention. We had adjoining rooms, and we sneaked into her room while she was away and toilet papered her bathroom. Unfortunately, a friend came back with her to visit and went into the bathroom first. They were both good sports about the prank. When we got back to school on Monday, she told all her classes about how bad we had been, mentioning me specifically. I was teased about it all day.  She was a great lady.  I am so sorry for your loss.

Mrs. Jean Dyer was my favorite teacher at EHHS and for the last 20 years, one of my dearest friends.   She was  an amazing force of nature who had strong opinions of current events which she was not afraid of sharing.   She also loved being involved in her church and volunteer activities which kept her quite busy until she physically could not tolerate them.   Our very last visit not long ago, her mind was still very sharp and we shared a delightful conversation.  Until we meet again, my dearest friend,  may you enjoy much love in Heaven with all your family!! Give Kerri a hug for me!!

Jean Dyer was a favorite teacher of mine and many other students.  A special family.
