

Hattye was born in Lilian, Texas to Henry Clay and Bessie Drew Meisenheimer, May 23, 1926.
She is preceded in death by her husband; Harold Brown, grandson; Blake Adams, Sisters; Nell Bigham and Barbara Rogers.
Survivors; daughter, Kay Adams and husband; Leon, son; Dale Brown and wife Genny, granddaughter; Sara Roberts and husband Chris, step granddaughter, Stacie Fautheree and husband Jason , step grandson; Jeff Adams and wife Emaryia, great grandson; Gavin Roberts, five step great grandchildren, sister; Lou Claunch, sister-in-law Katie Shaw, one niece and numerous nephews.
Hattye grew up in Lillian and in Alvarado; she was the first of the four sisters to graduate high school. She loved playing sports, especially basketball. She prided herself on receiving awards and especially a gold basketball for scoring the most points and was elected MVP. Another thing Hattye discovered while in high school was boys and one boy in particular. Harold brown who was her high school sweetheart and as she explained, “he just did not know he was her high school sweetheart”! Hattye was best friends with his younger sister Katie and through her; she continued to keep her eyes on him until they were married October 19, 1946… finally! Hattye lived a happy Christian life, and we can believe we will be united soon.
She lived her life by one of her favorite quotes “Do unto others as you would have them do unto you.”
