Helen Ruth Venable Kitchens

A Visitation for Helen will be held Monday, April 7, 2025 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Shannon Rose Hill Funeral Chapel, 7301 East Lancaster Ave, Fort Worth, Texas 76112. An Inurnment will take place at a later time and date.

Born in Burleson, TX to Tommy and Velma Venable on May 5, 1939, Helen graduated from Polytechnic High School, where she remained a loyal Parakeet, attending reunions and events often. Helen played an active and loving role in the lives of her nephews and their children, always offering a safe place to turn in times of need. Her love for travel took her to destinations across the world, including Pompeii, Kauai, Italy, and many others. Helen's deep and inspirational relationship with the Lord was evident in her daily routine, starting each day with a cup of coffee, watching the birds, and talking with Jesus. It is comforting to know that she is now in Heaven, possibly enjoying the same routine, and still sitting and talking with Jesus.

Helen is preceded in death by her father, Tommy Venable; brother, Tommy Venable; mother, Velma Venable; and nephew, Ritchy Venable.

She is survived by her aunt, Ola Lee May; nephews, Randy Venable and Roddy Venable Sr.; great-nieces, Kristi Venable and Becca Venable Harrison; great-nephews, Roddy Venable Jr., Jason Venable, and William Venable; great-nephew-in-law, Matthew Harrison; and many great-great-nieces and nephews.

Helen's life was a testament to her faith in Jesus Christ, and she will be remembered for her kindness, love, and unwavering faith.
