

Memorial service: 1 p.m. Tuesday at First Baptist Church in Burleson. Visitation: The family will receive friends 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at Shannon Rose Hill Funeral Chapel.
Memorials: The family requests donations be made to the building fund of First Baptist Church Burleson in lieu of flowers.
She was born April 10, 1929, in Fredonia, Kan., to Louie A. and Dorothy Johnson. Helen was married to her husband Dale for 64 years. She was a longtime member of Sagamore Hill Baptist Church in Fort Worth and for the last 24 years an active member of First Baptist Church Burleson where she volunteered in the library. Mrs. Scarth also worked every Monday at the Burleson library as a faithful volunteer.
She was preceded in death by her sister, Barbara Thomason of Midland.
Survivors: Helen is survived by her husband, E. Dale Scarth of Burleson; her daughter, Debra and husband, Greg Geater, of Fort Worth; son, David and wife, Ann Scarth, of Mason; daughter, Dee Anne and husband, Rich Merrill, of Granbury; and son, Danny and wife, Lucretia Scarth, of Fort Worth. She was also blessed with grandson, Ben and wife, Melanie Scarth, of Kennewick, Wash.; granddaughter, Rosemary and husband, Matt Cohen, of Mason; grandson, Alex Freeman of Fort Worth; grandson, Payton Scarth of Fort Worth; granddaughter, Laura Freeman of Granbury; grandson, Haddon Scarth of Fort Worth; grandson, Eli Geater of Fort Worth; grandson, Riley Geater of Fort Worth; and great-grandchildren, Emily Viola and Ana Elise Scarth of Kennewick, Wash.
