          I talked to Helen on Thanksgiving of 2019. I have a little tradition for Thanksgiving. I get up, watch the parade, make out Christmas cards and call people I know and see how they are doing. Most don't even want to talk to me and think Christmas cards are stupid. Helen was happy to hear from me, in good spirits, and had a wonderful laugh. I told her I was making out Christmas cards and asked her if she wanted one. She said, "Sure, send me one. I like Christmas cards." She told me she missed Rufus. I told her I missed mom. I wished her a Happy Thanksgiving,  Merry Christmas, and a Happy New Year.  I sent her a Christmas card. I can't remember if I talked to her on Christmas Day. I did call, though. That's the last time I would ever talk to Helen, but I didn't know it. Please call your loved ones at least once or twice a year to let them know you love them.  Helen was the wife of Rufus Snedeker, a classmate of my mother's. I didn't know Helen, mom did. Mom died in 2014 and Helen sent me a sympathy card. I  called Helen on Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's just to see how she was doing, and to wish her happy holidays. I don't regret doing it. I don't feel it was a waste of time. The only things you regret in life are the things you DIDN'T do. I'm very sorry I won't be able to talk to Helen this Thanksgiving or hear her joyful laugh ever again, but I am glad I took the time to get to know her a little bit before she left this earth and let her know she was loved. I don't regret that at all! God bless you Helen Snedeker, you and Rufus are together, now. I wish you eternal happiness. Rest In Peace.

I remember Helen and Rufus being such a inspirational couple. Helen was so up beat smiling and I loved seeing both of them at the BBQs we would have at Central.  The love for animals were so amazing. . Her and Cathy would try to turn this city girl into a country girl lol.  It didn’t work.  She will be missed by so many. God has a new beautiful angel now.   She will forever be in our hearts. Blessings to all the family and friends

I started working with Helen in 1969 and was very impressed with the kindness she showed me and all the people she worked with.  Helen was one of the smartest persons I had ever been around. She  was always a first class lady and showed total respect for every one.  She will be missed by everyone that knew Helen especially at our Central reunions.  She always had kind words to say and always had a big smile on her face.  So long my friend!

Although Helen was my aunt, she was my second mother.  She was the smartest person I knew.  She taught me how to knit, to drive a car, and to ride a horse.  She helped me with my Shorthand homework and my math homework.  You see, when she graduated she was the valedictorian of Paschal High School.   Most of all, she shared her love and talents of dogs and the dog shows with me. She was a great mentor.  For almost 30 years, we traveled to many, many dog show events together.  In the past few years, we spent countless hours on the phone talking about family genealogy.   I loved those talks.
 Words cannot explain how much I will miss her.  Heaven has gained another sweet angel.  

Sweet, Sweet Helen has finally joined Tex in Heaven and I know they are looking at each other and giggling just as they did the whole time they were married. Everyone thought they were "soul mates".  Helen was office manager at Central Freight Lines and was a wonderful boss, showing "dignity and respect" to all her employees. She had such a sweetness about her and a tremendous smile for anyone that came to her office.  All in all, she was one of my best friends for 52 years and will miss her tremendously.
