Henry Moore, 93, of Mansfield, TX passed away on February 5, 2019 at Community Hospice of Texas. He was born September 30, 1925 to Polk and Mary Moore.

Henry left school at an early age should take a job hauling logs for lumper company. He worked at this job for several years. In 1960 he took a Civil Service job at Hollomans Air Force Base just outside Alamogordo, New Mexico. In 1972 he moved his family to Tucson, Arizona and continued his Civil Service career at Davis Monthan Air Force Base where he was a conscientious and hardworking man. His work ethic was strong and unwavering. Although he was not a member of the Armed Forces, he was honored and proud to dedicate thirty years working with those who were. For his years of dedication he was awarded in 1990 by The Department of the Air Force a Certificate of Service for 30 Years and Recognition of Thirty Years of service in the Government of the United States of America. He also received a Silver Star Award for having accrued in excess of 2,000 hours of sick leave. He was always there when it counted.

After completing that portion of his life, he decided that retirement was not for him and took a part time job with the TUSD (Tucson Unified School District) as a crossing guard. He did that for several years with great pride till he moved to Arlington, Texas in 2000.

He is preceded in death by his parents Polk and Mary Moore; siblings Major Moore, John Moore, Geneva Alexander and Lela Boyd.

Henry leaves to mourn him two daughters; Diane Williams (Vance) of Mansfield, Texas, Lisa Moore-Moore (Jesse) of Irving, Texas, and one son, Gary Moore Sr. who preceded him in death in 1996.

Grandchildren; Tieshka Dibble of Mansfield, Texas,Tara Wilson and Gary Moore Jr. of Tucson, Arizona, Crystal Wimbrey ( Johnny) of Southlake, Texas, Dr. Kymberli Williams, Vonceal “Trey” Williams III of Mansfield, Texas, and Antonio Williams of Arlington, Texas.

Great grandchildren; Psalms, Hannah, Honor,Journee, Arrington,and Kayleigh all residing in Texas. Isaiah, Trevonne, Raja, Jada, Ajale, Marquise and Monique of Tucson. Last but not least, one great-great-granddaughter, Bella of Tucson.

Also to mourn his passing is his former wife, Charlean Moore and a host of brothers and sister-in-law, nieces, nephews and many, many friends who loved him and will miss him dearly.

Mr. Henry Moore, may you forever rest in the heavens!! I knew you through my friend, Diane Williams, who is your daughter, whom you loved so dearly!! I will miss your quiet demeanor, that infectious smile and a "hi, Ms. Vertis, whenever I would see you!!" Oh how do I say goodbye to a God-fearing, beautiful being, such as yourself. I watched you through the years from 2000 until your health began to fail; you were a phenomenal man of many, strong in your stature and awesome in all your endeavors!! Mr. Henry, God sure has a starring crown designed just for you, so take your final rest and rejoice with family and friends!! RIP............
