

Funeral: 2 p.m. Monday at Shannon Rose Hill Funeral Chapel. Visitation: 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
Homer was born in Fort Worth and graduated from Handley High School. He was a Boy Scout troop leader for the Handley Explorers. He was also a longtime member of Handley Methodist Church. Homer worked in elevator construction, followed by 12 years of service at Bell Helicopter in the maintenance division.
He was preceded in death by his mother and father, Joseph and Della; brothers, Alvin and James; and son, Jim Daugherty.
Survivors: He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Linda Daugherty; siblings, Olen Daugherty, Patsy Kelly and Mildred Truly; daughters, Shawna and husband, Bob Gray, and their children, Katie and Russell Gray, of Arlington, Linda and husband, Rory Morrow, of Wills Point, Leslie and husband, Bobby Cortez, and their children, Ivan, Tony and Laura Cortez, of Grand Prairie, Cindy and husband, David Pool, and children, Eric and Courtney Pool, of Trophy Club; grandson, Ricky Daugherty; and great-granddaughter, Kali Daugherty.
