Howell Tarver passed away peacefully on Saturday, Nov. 19, 2016, surrounded by his family. Service: 3 p.m. Tuesday at Laurel Land Chapel of the Chimes. Visitation: The family will receive visitors for two hours prior to service at the chapel. Howell was born Dec. 7, 1927, in Rosefield, La. He lived his life as a caring husband and father. Howell was a teacher and worked until he was 82 years old. Howell was preceded in death by his wife, Beatrice May Wilson. Survivors: He is survived by his children, Barbara Jones and her husband, Larry, Shan Tarver and his wife, Cheryl, and Deborah Tarver; grandsons, Clint Algood and his wife, Jessica, Jesse Hayes, Micah Hayes and his wife, Karlie, Thomas Tarver and his wife, Roni, and David Tarver; great-granddaughter, Marley Tarver.
