

Inge was born to Johanna and Bruno Goetz in Albany, New York, on July 26, 1928.
Inge grew up on the East Coast and also spent several formative years with her grandparents in Germany. These experiences helped shape her lifelong compassion and resilience. In 1949 she attained her Registered Nurse degree at the Medical College of Virginia. In 1951 found, Inge as an ER nurse at Jackson Memorial Hospital in Miami, Florida, where she met the love of her life and future husband, Brad Black. They were joined in marriage on November 15, 1952.
Following Brad’s training in oral surgery, their adventure took them to Beaumont, Texas, for the next 61 years. Together they raised 2 children, Pam and Bill. As well as being a homemaker, she worked part time as a skilled RN at St Elizabeth Hospital. Inge was a faithful member of the Beaumont First Christian Church and gave generously of her time to various charitable organizations. Hers was also the healing hand for broken “critters” that a generation of neighborhood kids would drag up to her doorstep.
Inge is preceded in death by her husband, Henry Bradford Black.
She is survived by her two children, Pamela Gail Miller and her husband, Travis Miller of Fort Worth, TX, William B. Black of Temple, TX, and a grandson, Liam Black of Hewitt, Texas. She is also survived by her sister Karen Hoyt and extended family.
Private Services and Burial will be held at a later date at the family plot located in Canyon, TX.
The family wishes to thank all of the caregivers and medical staff who have taken such great care of Mom over the past few years. Should friends desire, contributions in her memory may be made to the charity of their choice.
