Irma Leal Granado, 70, passed away the evening of Wednesday, September 22, 2021 in Houston, Texas from Covid-19. She was born in Santa Rosalia, Tamaulipas, Mexico to parents Roman and Criselia Leal. She moved to the United States in her teenage years, residing in Fort Worth, Texas. In the Heart of Magnolia Avenue, near Downtown Fort Worth, Irma would become a waitress throughout her working life, at Maria’s Café. She humbled customers over their lunch breaks and shared many laughs over a cup of coffee and grew many friendships throughout the years. She dedicated her time to work and raising her two daughters, Melissa Granado and Rebecca Narezo. Irma was a remarkable cook and enjoyed preparing meals for her family and friends, most especially over the holidays. She devoted her life to her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, friend and had endless love for us. No one’s eyes shined so bright with love. Everyone knew her as a kind soul and was always willing to cheer kids up with hugs. One of the most important things a mother/grandmother can do is pass her best traits. We can only hope that the kindness, compassion and generosity she has shown us remains with us as we mourn her passing.
She is preceded in death by her twin siblings, Maria Matilde and Jose Eden Leal, parents Criselia and Roman Leal. Irma is survived by her husband of 29 years Conrad Collins Turner; daughters, Melissa Granado, Rebecca Granado (Narezo); grandchildren, Victor Alonzo Zepeda Jr., Ricardo Zepeda III, Davian Serna, Jayden Serna, Lorenzo Narezo; great-grandchildren; Sadie Zepeda, Kayden Zepeda, Kaysen Roman Zepeda.
