Jacintha Jean Barner

Jacintha Norwood Barner was born on May 5, 1953, to the late Betty Norwood and David Lane in Waxahachie, Texas.

Jacintha received christ at an early age at the Maypearl Church of Christ. She received her education at Maypearl high School and graduated in 1971. Shortly after graduation, she joined the U.S. Army and served her country fo 20 years, and retired as an E-6.

While serving in the military she also attended college. Serving her country proved to be an excellent choice, and she met and married the love of her life Mr. Ricky Barner.

Jacintha was preceded in death by both parents, and an older sister, Linda.

Jacintha leaves to cherish her memories, her daughter, Myia Barner, twin sister; Carthrenta Harris, three nephews; Cory (Odessy), Floyddrix (Sherri), and Jamal. Niece; Maxs (Da'Lyn). Her forever soulmate, Ricky, and host of other family and friends.

A visitation for Jacintha will be held Wednesday, December 21, 2022 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Gregory W. Spencer Funeral Directors, 4000 Miller Avenue, Fort Worth, TX. Following the visitation will be a graveside service at 1:30 PM at Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery, 2000 Mountain Creek Parkway, Dallas, Texas 76244.
