

Jack Douglas Hall, known to his family and friends as “Doug” or “Pop”, passed away February 23, 2022 in Richardson, Texas. Born March 20, 1935 in El Paso to the late JR and Estelle Amanda Hall, Doug had a volunteer spirit, giving countless hours and years to helping others in both his church and as a community volunteer.
He graduated from Polytechnic High School in 1952, then earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting and Social Science from Texas Wesleyan University in Fort Worth. He worked for Gulf Oil Corporation as General Tax Agent from 1957 – 1984, then remained with Chevron, after they acquired Gulf, until his retirement in 1985.
Doug was a member of the New Mexico O & G Association; New Mexico Coal Association, American Petroleum Association, all serving on the Tax Committees, and Treasurer for the Camp Fire Girls in Chicago.
Doug was a marvelous bass, and enjoyed being in the Lakeside Baptist Church Men’s Quartet, part of the worship team at Lakeside Baptist Church, the Singing Men of Texas, and being a part of the Promise.
Doug was predeceased by his parents, and his wife of 66 years, Mary Jane Henson Hall.
Survivors include his daughters: Kathy Krueger and husband Kerry and Cindy Powers and husband Alan; Sister: Dolores (Loli) McHargue and husband Richard; Brother: Don Hall; many nieces, nephews, cousins, grandkids, great-grandkids, aunts, uncles and friends that all loved him dearly.
