Jacob Eugene Lemke

Jacob Eugene Lemke of Fort Worth, Texas, received his ultimate healing on his 56th birthday, September 17, 2025. A man of deep faith, generosity, and compassion, Jacob lived a life marked by service, love, and unwavering devotion to Christ.

Born in Fort Worth on September 17, 1969, Jacob grew up in the Crowley School District, where he developed a passion for sports—especially baseball, basketball, and soccer. He also discovered early on a deep love for travel, which led him to memorable journeys, including mission work in Honduras and time as an exchange student in Rio de Janeiro. His experiences abroad inspired a love of languages, and he took joy in learning Portuguese and French.

While in high school, Jacob started a Bible study group called JAM (Jesus and Me) and was an active member of his church youth group at First Baptist Crowley. His faith remained the cornerstone of his life. As an adult, Jacob continued to serve others through mission work, including prison ministry and his involvement with Volunteers of America. He often opened his home to individuals transitioning out of incarceration, offering them hope and a second chance.

Jacob was a devoted husband to Brenda Venable-Lemke, the love of his life. Jake was a loving father to Aaron Venable, his wife Gabrielle Venable, and granddaughter Abbigale Venable. He is also survived by his father Donald Eugene Lemke of Crowley. His brother Phillip, his wife Kari of Clovis NM; niece Lexi Lemke of Crowley; nephew Weslin Lemke his wife Chelsie of Waxahachie; and a large extended family of aunts, uncles, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his beloved mother, Gloria Lemke.

Jacob was a faithful member of Fort Worth Presbyterian Church, where he found community and spiritual strength.

Jacob’s life was a testament to grace, service, and love. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

A celebration of life service is scheduled for Sunday, September 21, 2025, at 3:00 at Fort Worth Presbyterian Church at 6251 Oakmont Trail, Fort Worth, TX. All family and friends are welcome to attend.
