Graveside service: 11 a.m. Monday in Laurel Land Memorial Park of Fort Worth. Visitation: 10 a.m. Monday, prior to the service, at Laurel Land Funeral Home.
Jake was born Oct. 5, 1936, to Lucius and Laurabel Howland. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps and retired from the city of Fort Worth after 35 years of service.
Jake was preceded in death by his parents; stepdaughter, Brandy Corley; two sisters; and a brother.
Survivors: His loving wife of 45 years, Una Howland; daughter, Kelly and husband, Bobby Bishop; sons, Andrew "Scooter" Howland and Lucius Howland; stepchildren, Tony Corley, Shawn Corley and Michelle Satterfield; and many loving grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
