Jamerion Dion Williams
Early Life and a Miraculous Beginning
Jamerion Dion Williams, the firstborn son of Carla Geiger and Cory Williams, entered the world weighing just 1 pound, 11 ounces. Doctors gave him little chance of survival, but his family trusted that his life rested in God’s hands. Senior Pastor McKinley Jackson prayed faithfully for seven days and declared, “That baby is going to be all right.” Jamerion’s survival was the first of many blessings in a life marked by perseverance, faith, and grace.
Education and Growth
From the challenges of premature birth through childhood, adolescence, and adulthood, God continued to bless Jamerion’s journey. He attended Jackie Carden Elementary School, Crowley Middle School, and Crowley High School before continuing his education at Southwest High School, where he graduated in 2010.
A Life of Faith and Music
From an early age, Jamerion made God’s presence known through his joyful praise. At two years old, he became affectionately known as “Shouting John” because he would praise God wherever he went. He was especially happy to be baptized and to partake in the Lord’s Supper.
A lifelong member of Samaria Baptist Church, Jamerion served faithfully as a devoted choir member. His love of music and singing also led him to sing with Marcus Moore and Chosen Generation, as well as Tremaine Grapham and Exodus. He shared his gifts with younger voices by assisting the Little Angels Children’s Choir.
Jamerion’s generous spirit, kind heart, and love for God drew many people to him. He gained countless friends and was deeply loved by his family and all who knew him.
A Career of Service
Jamerion began his professional career at Walmart, where he worked for several years. He later discovered the work he truly loved: serving people with disabilities. He dedicated his compassion and talents to The ARC, New Start, and Rock House group homes, finding purpose in caring for and supporting others.

Jamerion, lovingly known as Jay, departed this life on August 30, 2026. His enduring faith, joyful praise, kindness, and devotion to others will remain a treasured part of his legacy.
