

James Dewayne Black, Sr. affectionally known as Wayne was born on May 10, 1956, to Willie and Annie Pearl Black in Fort Worth, Texas.
Wayne attended Fort Worth ISD and Polytechnic High School.
Wayne accepted Christ at an early age and was baptized at Elm Grove Baptist Church under the pastorage of Rev. Jenkins.
Wayne was employed with Nash Manufacturing for several years and later was gainfully employed with Fort Worth Star Telegram.
Wayne was a quite easy going man, he loved fishing in which he would often do with his son and nephews.
Wayne met Linda Terrell in March 1980 and married her on September 29, 2000, and they remained married until his death.
On Thursday, May 15, 2025, five days after his birthday, Wayne surrendered to our Lord and Saviour,
Wayne was proceeded in death by his parents Willie and Annie Black, son Jamie Black, grandson; Camyran Black, his siblings, Billie Black, Willie Jewel Black, Kathryn Moore, Shirley Ann Black, Peggy Ann Black, and Willie James Black
Those who are left to cherish his memories are his wife, Linda Terrell-Black; Sons, James D. Black, Jr. (Sequoria), Jamar Black and Mario Terrell,
Brothers; Harold Black (Mary), Curtis Black (Lillian), and Charlie McCray, sisters; Geraldine Green, Glenda Thomas (Robert), Cathy Everitt and Jackie Black-Hensley (Horace). His grandchildren: Harmony and Jamie Black, De'Korian Nixon, Mya and DJ., special aunt Lucille Black, godson Donte Simpson, and a host of nieces, nephew's friends and family.
