A Memorial Service will be held at 10am, on September 4th at Emmanuel Church, 615 College Avenue Forth Worth, Texas 76104.

Pastor Jim Borchert was born and raised in Downers Grove, Illinois. Graduating from Downers Grove High School. He went on to get a B.A. Degree from Augustana College, and B.D. and S.T.M. degrees from Yale University Divinity School. He and his beloved wife, Peggy, were married 58 years, and have four children and eleven grandchildren.

Pastor Borchert served continuously in the pastoral ministry for 53 years. “Pastor Jim” was a well-known pastor and teacher in the Fort Worth-Dallas area, as well as around the world. His library of over 40,000 volumes is a testimony to his dedication to the truth of the Word of God.

Jesus unexpected revelation of his personal unconditional love for Pastor Jim as a sinner 50 years ago, caused Pastor Jim to love Jesus with all his heart and was the Godly passion behind his ministry.

Survived by his beloved spouse; Margaret McIver Borchert, his children; Khara MacLean, Kirsten Sundell, David Borchert, and his wife, Mary, and Margaret Borchert; grandchildren, Stephen MacLean, Christina MacLean, Katherine MacLean Coleman, Hannah MacLean, Sarah MacLean, Victoria MacLean, John MacLean, Danny McLean, Jane Sundell, Benjamin Sundell, and Gabriella Borchert; sister, Helen McClennen and Cousin, Carroll Hines. James Borchert is preceded in death by his parents, Frances Elizabeth Borchert and John Edward Borchert.
